Ridgewood Highlands
The Ridgewood Highlands neighborhood is centrally located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay. This neighborhood brings a blend of year-round North Tahoe residents, as well as second homeowners. Many of the properties along Ridgewood Drive enjoy expansive views of Lake Tahoe, while further upland there are numerous properties backing to open National Forest land with miles of trails for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and many more activities. The Ridgewood Highlands neighborhood is popular with outdoor enthusiasts, including The Moore Team agents Brendan Boyle and Kimberly Boyle, who are local homeowners in the subdivision.
Owners in the Ridgewood Highlands neighborhood are eligible to enjoy use of the Ridgewood Pier Owners Association, which has a small membership that is capped at 51 members. A property that is purchased with an active RPOA membership in good standing is allowed to transfer the membership to the new owner at the close of escrow. Annual dues are only $350 as of 2022. Any additional membership applications exceeding 51 members are added to the waitlist, and new members pay a $10,000 initiation fee at the time they join. The RPOA is NOT a homeowners association, and there are no CC&R’s. For more information on RPOA amenities, you can visit their website at RpoaTahoe.com.
The Ridgewood Highlands neighborhood is located approximately halfway between Tahoe City and Kings Beach and enjoys convenient access to both major ski resorts on the North Shore, Palisades Tahoe and Northstar at Tahoe. Carnelian Bay is also home to popular restaurants like Gar Woods Grill and Pier, CB’s Bistro, Waterman’s Landing, and The Old Post Office Cafe.
